under the curtain solar system
as every star was flickering
and dancing in its own silent spot
like the bobbing heads on my dashboard,
serenade; the symphony of crickets
with grass prickling on my back
and tickling around the back of my neck;
i'll stretch my hand sideways blindly
to find yours
and hold it as tightly as i could
yet gently
try to fall asleep
while my heart races
