Strangely, I'm missing a lot of things back in Melbourne.
It's been just a day since I got back to good ol' Kluang. Nothing much has changed. People are still driving at 40km/hr at their own wills. Haven't noticed any new shops around. Same food, same places. And in that way, I'm actually glad. It was good before, and you don't fix a working machine. As unrealistic and not too healthy as it may be, I actually don't like changes. If things are good, let it be. If things are bad, I'll learn to live with it. No need for changes. Changes are tedious.
But we all known that growth requires change. The world is dynamic. Move on or be left behind.
A few friends are back in town. But not for long. Very soon, I'll be running out of things to do. For some reason, I've been a little lost this trip back. I just turned on my Astro (satellite tv) for the first time today since I got back, and I only watched for 20 minutes. The telly really rots my brain. Nothing good on the movie channels. And MTV and Channel V are playing garbage (no, not the band). And I know some of you are gonna crucify me for this, but I haven't even been mamak-ing that much. No real incentive or urge, really. I'll just go out to catch up with friends.
My mood has been mellow. I think I'm pmsing.
But it's okay. I think I'll try and watch a few movies. And I'll read. I've currently got:
Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell,
The 13½ lives of Captain Bluebear by Walter Moers, and
After Dark by Haruki Murakami.
I'll finish them before I go back.
I should sleep now. Church is at 8:30a.m.
I'm home again.
