the world's most desirable women... by me

H'okay.

Everyone knows that any regular bloke would only fantisize on cars, sports, techie gadgets, drinks and most importantly, women. It may be blunt, but it's probably the only way to know when they're really straight. But right here today, I'd just like to put a little focus on that last but most crucial factor in every man's dreams:
The Babe Factor.
Every, and I literally do mean every straight guy would have a list of dream girls they'd seen on tv. It's just a fact. Whether they've thought it up already or not is not what matters. But if they had to think of girls they like on the tv screen, it can be only explained that they're gay if they can't think of anyone at all.

So, just to prove my manhood today (and post some pics for other guys to ogle at), here's my list of the most desirable women on earth. By me.

Charlize Theron

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

First up. Ms. Theron here has got to be the hottest babe in the universe. Now I usually say that hair colour has no influence over me. But this blonde bombshell has got to prove me wrong over and again. In my humble opinion, there has never been anyone to contend with Ms. Theron's beauty and hotness in any sense let it be the legendary Ms. Munroe to any other this date. She is and will always be the definition of 'hot' in my dictionary.
Aside Monster.

Tara Reid

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Ms. Reid may not be able to act for peanuts but she will not be ruled out of my list by that or anyhow. She has been known to be a rebel and one who just won't grow up; hanging with the likes of the Hilton sisters and never being the type to shy away from the clubbing scene. Honestly? Not my type in that sense. But she has definitely got 'babe' plastered all over her and that just has to do.

Adriana Lima

Adri-wha? I know. I had no idea who she was as well until a buddy of mine emailed a link to me with an ad that starred this hot, hot Victoria Secret model.
I may never be able to understand a word that she speaks (I don't think she speaks English), but who cares, really? She is so hot, rumour has it (according to one person) that she was the one who sparked off Ricky Martin's mind to write his crappy hit, 'She Bangs'. As much as that song annoys me, I can see why.

Jessica Alba

Alex, Alex, Alex. We share this one common passion.
Though I have to agree with any who say that she can't act as well, like Ms. Reid above, that factor alone cannot rule her out of my list. And have you seen her move in Honey?? I haven't. But the ads look mighty appetizing. Plus, she's mixed! And as Alex would agree with me here, when mixed chicks are hot, they're flamin' hot.

Angelina Jolie

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Okay. This one? Only sometimes. I didn't really like the way she looked in any of the Tomb Raider flicks. Or any of that sort that made her look deranged or the type who could beat up Tyson. But at any other time, when we see the more delicate side of her, she is nothing short of hot. Plus, she has been voted this year to have the sexiest lips in Hollywood! I don't know how that works, but as long as they steer off Liv Tyler in their rankings at all, it should be trustworthy.

................................

But as much as one could desire or fantasize of dreams with such women; the hotness, babyliciousness, and the beauty of these women still fall short of fulfilling the empty space in one's heart. For fantasies very often just remain as fantasies and there is no real connection anyhow in that sense between the two. In other words, it's impossible. Sorry to break it this way. But we just have to wake up to our senses and face reality.

There is, however, one connection with a woman that's real; one that all of us has whether we recognize or not, and that connection is that of a child and his mother.
My connection with my mum is real. And to me, she will always be able to top any of the girls above anytime when it comes to having that connection.
She may be naggy, stubborn, silly and all that annoys both you and me. But her love is genuine, and for that, I'd like to honour her today on Mother's Day.

Thank you, mum, for all that you've been in my life. Through it all, being my cabby driver, personal assistant, secretary, cook and anything else, I thank you for everything you've done. I love you heaps, and am missing your cooking everyday here.
Can't wait to get back home in July.

wet blanket

No, I didn't wet my blanket.
It was just a ruined evening, I guess, last night. Okay, let's not dramatise the situation and make it sound worse than it actually was. The night was actually good. Just disappointing, maybe.

Good in a way that a good friend, Tien Ern from back home in Kluang arrived yesterday morning. He'll be sticking around Melbourne till coming Monday as he's here just for a short holiday. Disappointing, on the other hand, because something interesting happened.

Okay, okay. So I'm contradicting myself now. Let me explain from the beginning then. As some of you may know by now, since early February, Melbourne has had a certain group of visitors from Hollywood here to film an upcoming movie, Ghost Rider, starring Nicholas Cage.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

They'll be here till late June, so till then, they have been and will be around and about filming the movie. As news and speculation spread across the city that a huge celebrity like Mr. Cage himself is in town, I've been a busy boy in a way, constantly looking out and around for a trace of them filming, perhaps. Twice already I've been let down when I found the street outside of my apartment blocked for filming but only to find out later that one was for a commercial and another a local independent film.
Mr. Cage and the hellcycle were nowhere to be seen.

Until last night, that is...

It was after dinner at Corretto's when I decided to drive past Melbourne Uni on Grattan Street just to show Tien Ern around a bit more on that side of the city. It was then when suddenly a bright light in a small street in a corner caught our attention like God did with Paul on the road to Damascus. And lo and behold, a filming in progress! Excited by the possibility that it was Ghost Rider, I briefed Tien Ern on the current affairs of Melbourne and it didn't take much to convince him to join my holy crusade as well. And the best part of it all? He had a camera with him.

So we parked somewhere along Royal Pde., hoping to be able to catch a close glimpse of what's going on from a side alley that intersects with the street they were filming on when a security guard suddenly appear from behind some bushes and told us (very kindly, I must say) that we couldn't go any closer. When asked what were they filming,
"Ghost Rider. That Nic Cage thing."

:O

"It's no good here, I can't let you in. I think your best bet be along the other side (points towards the Law building). You can take photos from there, but you can't use flash, otherwise the cops will take ya camera away," he continued with a smile.

It was too good to be true.
Unfortunately though, it really was too good to be true.

We found out not long after that Mr. Cage himself would not be making an appearance that night and even if he did, we probably weren't gonna be able to see him anyway because the best spot where we could see it all was at least 200m away from where they were filming. The props were there. We saw a coupla bikes. Some dude releasing some smoke screen by the side of the street. And some fella dressed up in a police uniform running across the street followed by the camera and then punching another dude. Twice.

It was a disappointment, I tell you.
We waited there for almost an hour, anticipating some awesome stunts that would leave us at awe of something even if less significant than meeting an international superstar at least, but it just didn't happen. The setting was so deceiving because they even blocked the roads from where we were standing, making a bunch of us who were waiting there think that they'd be performing a stunt all the way up the street till where we were at. But no. We were wrong...

Or maybe we left too early. Maybe we were too impatient to wait. Maybe they started filming the real deal only after we left. Oh what a cruel joke it would be if that were the case. But until we find out what really happened after we left, which we may never will, that would have to be the closest the two of us jakuns have ever come to anything of Hollywood.

day out

Took a break by spending the day out yesterday. Well, not entirely a break, but it was a real getaway after the weeks of stressing out and doing some assignments. I took Tien Ern to Phillip Island last night and Esther tagged along as well. We were lucky to be late reaching there, I suppose. We got there at about 7:00p.m with the assumption that the penguins would usually come out at about 8:30-ish-p.m. Boy were we wrong.

They come out during sunset and now as we're nearing winter, the sun sets at early evening (say 5:30p.m to 6:00p.m). Thankfully we found that out soon enough to get us there by about 7:15p.m and because of the fact that we've missed the penguins emerging from the beach, we got in free! Oh, but we had to placed a small donation for the penguin research, that is, but that only took 10 bucks, covering all 3 of us. :)

Needless to say, it was an evening well spent.

fine!

So there we were, all four of us; Esther, Tien Ern, Lee Yen and I, in the beautiful suburb of Williamstown on Sunday night. It was just about 8:00p.m when we found a parking in a dark corner before walking to La Porchetta for dinner. The dinner was good. Two pizza's and a pasta. Surprisingly enough, it was enough. Not sure about T.E though, as his appetite's one to rival KG's, but for the rest of us, it was an awesome meal. We finished off at a quarter pass 9:00p.m and decided to have a slow stroll by the beach perhaps to help with the digestion after a (heavy?) meal. By the time we left the place, it was almost 9:30p.m already.

All was fine and things went unnoticed for quite awhile. We even stopped by Video Ezy along the way to check if The Incredibles was already available on Ex-Rental (Go ahead, call me a cheapo), and still we didn't notice it. Not until driving up the Westgate Bridge, that is, when I noticed something weird. Hidden behind a tissue box on my dashboard, on the other side of the windscreen - something flapping.

"No way," I thought. The odds of it just didn't make sense. It was a Sunday night. A Sunday, might I stress it, and at night. It was impossible. Till I stopped over by the highway and got Esther to stretch out her arm from her window to tear the slip of paper taped onto my windscreen.

"No way!!"

I've never gotten a ticket since I got my P's license, and here before me, a parking ticket!! NO!!! My clean sheet of a record stained on a Sunday night at a nice town by the sea! It's impossible, I tell you! Impossible!!

*Sigh. But I guess that's that, huh? At least it's not a whopping 3-figure fine. I wonder what my parents would have to say about this when they find out. Oh well.
What injustice.

%$#!+ m8!

I'm so pissed right now. As how it was termed in the movie White Chicks, I could get into a BF.
I was on my way home from uni yesterday when I received a peculiar sms saying this:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

At first, seeing that the number was from a local mobile phone, I dismissed it thinking that it was a scam or a trap to steal my line. But boy was I wrong when I found later that I couldn't make any calls or smses.

Frustrated, I headed over to the dealer who got me the phone to find out the problem, and to our unpleasant surprise, M8, my phone service provider have been sending the bills to my previous address (what!?). The hardcopy of the contract still at the dealer's plainly states my current and previous addresses in its rightful place and they nicely stuffed up still on the other end. And on top of that, my bar will not be lifted until I pay the bill, and it'll take about a full working day for them to do so.

Okay. So if that wasn't bad enough, I tried calling the given number on the sms to pay the bill straight away. The customer service dude was friendly enough to deny me access to any information to my account because of a password I don't have but my dad has but he's forgot, but allows me to pay my bill anyhow. A bill with a crazy fee I don't understand!! I'm 80% sure I haven't been overusing my phone charges over the months, and they're charging me extra as a penalty for late payments.

When I told them that I clearly don't deserve the penalty (I haven't been getting any bills!!), they say that I've been sent an sms in April regarding a warning of late payment - An sms that I didn't receive as well!!

Anyhow, due to the helpless situation I was in, I paid anyway. The guy said that he'd try to credit the penalty and I hope he did so. But this issue isn't really over yet. Until I receive my actual invoice(s) and have the bar lifted off my phone, I cannot be in peace.
This is downright pathetic...

SIMulated

Ah. Yesterday was the last day of this semester in uni. Exams are in a week's time. And it's been 9 days since Star Wars Episode 3 (which by the way I haven't watched) been released.
It's amazing how time flies.
Everyone around me seems to be either stressed about their coming exams or simply waiting for the holidays already. I, for one, am dwelving in a bit of both. I'm not stressing too much over the exams (which really raises an eyebrow to wonder if that's a good sign) and yet am worried if I'll do badly. And on the other hand, I just can't wait for the hols!

The most worrying thing however, is that even as I hit the books, flipping each page slowly and painstakingly, I can't help but wonder:
"How am I gonna design my next house?",
"I wonder if I could improve on that design I did yesterday?" or
"What am I gonna decorate that living room with?"

Esther had recently downloaded The Sims on her Mac and installed it to play on my computer. And I, being a first-timer in this game, have been nothing short of being in awe of it. It may not be as fancy and detailed as its sequal, but it definitely holds its trophies well to deliver addictive gameplay.

Okay, okay. I have to make myself clear though. As clearly as I can see how addictive the gameplay can be, I actually don't find it THAT interesting. What interests me however, is how I can design my very own house; tearing one down and building an entire new mansion to myself - custom designed. Now THAT'S interesting.

my first house

So far I've only built one, and as you can see, that's quite something. You should see its inside - I made sure the master bedroom was made of pure luxury. And when I was done, I was fairly proud of myself, really. Until I saw Esther's do-over of a nearby house that is...

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
esther's neverland

It's even got its own detached mini-house in its backyard that serves no other purpose but as a playhouse for the kids! It's a house full of toys!! And if you look closely, it's even got a mini gym and a basketball half-court by its side! And the pool!! Look at THAT pool! You could dock a ship in that pool!
:O

I am so thankful she didn't get Sims 2. It would've been a disaster and I can then kiss my studies goodbye. I must admit that it could prove itself to be quite a distraction during these trying days. But by God's grace I shall stand strong and tall (metaphorical that last bit) amidst this trial. May it be that throughout the following week - this blessed, sacred swot-vac week, I'll be able to pay full attention in studying and discipline myself to balance my studies and play efficiently according to priorities. Studies come first. All may follow after.
After this weekend, that is...

Amen!
