man, being ill is painful. almost traumatising.
my illness is nothing fancy though - common cold. runny nose, BAD sore-throat (makes singing a chore), irregular coughs at average 5 second interval, lack of sleep (i'm coughing the whole night, whaddaya expect?), weariness and dramatically poor LiHfFe. plus occasional sneezing that tears my throat apart.
all i wanna do is to stay away from everyone - don't wanna to spread the sickness you know. no, i'm not that sweet, just wanting to break the chain so that i won't get the next mutated virus so quickly. and not only that, i don't want anyone to see me in this miserable state of mine. just wanna sleep the illness off.
i used to have severe sinus problems back in malaysia, where i always sniffed and sneezed and coughed. if i try to move dusty books i may even get a fever. when i came to melbourne, where there's much less dust and stray animals, it was heaven for me. never wanted to return home ever since. and when i fell sick, it was like all my nightmares returning at once, with me finding myself convincing me that it was only a cold that will go away tomorrow. what a joke.
i am still coughing, and i know this illness can go two ways - recovery or fever. i'm the expert of this since that i get this all the time in malaysia. all i have to do is to provide my body the required resources for the big battle - it may be the deciding factor of how my cold will develope after all. so i bought cereals and milk for breakfast (haven't had the all-important-breakfast for months), fresh apple juice and strawberries for fast nutrition absorbtion (i usually have fruits on blue moons only), some muesli for my non-destructive energy intake (destructive energy intake aka chips) and an oven-able apple pie just in case (its not what you think). seriously, that's the healthiest i've been for months.
so if anyone finds me avoiding them physically, don't worry, i'm just sick with a fever. in fact, please take my hint and stay away. if otherwise then you can celebrate my healing with me.
by the way, anyone knows what is the meaning of a cold? was trying to make it holy...
