Dear Jesus...

How can it be
You were the one on the cross
Lifted for all my shame?

How can it be
The scars in Your hands are for me?
You are the king of all

I'll never know how much it cost to see my sin upon that cross.

But One thing I know, I am redeemed, forgiven, and made right before You.

ahem...

What do you do when you have nothing else to do at work? Hmmm... here i am, 1;32pm on a Tuesday afternoon, stuck in the office with a runny nose, swollen and tired eyes, a brain that cannot think no more, and everything ticked on my to-do-list. Why am I still at work? You must be asking... I also dunno. (Hahh.... chhiiieew.. ... chiiew!). Maybe because I dislike the thought of being on MC... i can still work what. Haha.

So what should i do from now till 530pm? Watch a movie? Read a book? There are some good DVDs down at the library and probably play X-Box there too. Or maybe i can pop my head into the staff recreation room for a good massage or sit here and do nothing. hmmm. Actually don't feel like moving.

Holiday is around the corner. And for me, holiday has started. Had my last class yesterday and had just finished grading them this morning... so school vacation has officially started in a way. What will i do for 4 weeks? i still have to come back to the campus though... we don't get holidays like the students do. I will be going for training and training, holiday, planning for next semester, and probably enjoy the facilities on the campus while the students are not around. Sounds good already - without the students.. hahaha. Looking at my calendar, i don't think i have much time to spare anyway. Sigh...

So what should i do now?? Hmmm.... i think i might watch an episode of desperate housewife. Shhhhhh....

chocolate??

You are White Chocolate
You have a strong feminine side with a good bit of innocence thrown in.
Whether your girlish ways are an act or not, men like to take care of you.
You are an understated beauty, and your power is often underestimated!
What Kind of Chocolate Are You?

but i prefer to eat Dark Chocolate....

thinking still...

on the extensions about what i wrote in the 'thinking' entry, questioning our acceptability based on what the society deem us to be or not to be, I do have something close to my heart to add.

the last entry and the discussion points or issues were mainly dealing with the past, of what the person was or did - which might in cheeze's word, carry a whole load of baggage and some certain consequences which followed. These issues usually require forgiveness, healing of the scars and acceptance. In turn, the person would be allowed to start anew with a renewed identity.

Let me paint another scenario here... what if the person is already carrying a certain baggage and it could just explode anytime looking into the future. One example here would be physical health. Would physical disability or existing health condition have the same negative effect on your consideration for a potential partner? Visually impaired people, cripplers, chronic disease sufferers.. can you accept? Or will you? These people (myself included) carry with them some serious burden that could potentially explode anytime. Would you be willing to share the burden? Or would you choose to stay away?

It's hard to say eh? I know... and I know what most people will do anyway... :)

Sigh...

untitled

another week has gone by and no one, absolutely no one replied to my last entry.. Hmmm. I thought at least someone would lat least eave some comments.. you know.. this kind of thing do happen, and they are real issues that could potentially happen to anyone... it is worth thinking about.. No?? haha

Hmm. so what has been happening over the past week? Let me see. Nothing too exciting at work... but i had a GREAT weekend. It was a very fruitful weekend. On Saturday, i actually met up with 3 different group of people. Hehe... Before going out for my lunch appointment, I managed to make a domesticated 'housewife' out of myself by dong all the housework there is to be done at home. Actually felt good.

Caught up with Grace over lunch, FINALLY after such a long time of "Yea.. we must meet up". Went to this nice Japanese restaurant Sun and Moon at Wheelock Place. The food was great but the company was even better. There is just such a beauty about relationships. Haven't seen her for almost 3 years, but it felt just like yesterday when we sat down, highly under-dressed at this fancy restaurant at the corner of King Street and La Trobe Street, making a fool out of ourselves. :-) She is getting married in October. Would be so nice to be there.

Met up with Kat and Cher before visiting Kat's brother in the hospital. It was also a good time catching up with them, whom I have not met since like more than a year ago. Spent the whole afternoon just relaxing, unwinding and shopping. You should have seen Cheryl at the sight of Durian. She simply went crazy. You wouldn't believe that we actually sat around the water fountain outside Borders to eat the durian after dinner. Erm.. yeah.. you were right.. yes. we sat on the steps with our durian wide open and with people staring at us. We just din't care. Eugene was trying to 'nottoknowus' by sitting a little further away.. Haha..

Oh yeah. ithink i skipped the dinner part. We (3 of us) met Sherlyn, Eugene, Vernon and his friend Wu Tian for dinner at ANOTHER Japanese Restaurant also at Wheelock Place. Hmmmm. What are the odds? NO, not the same restaurant. Hehe. Was good catching up with everyone... over good food! And yes.. then the durian part.

Mentioned about Kat brother previously. So glad that he is going so well now. We (Kat, Cher, Mark, Elle and I) were all there praying our best prayer for him and we still are lifting him up to our Father. So happy to hear his progress. In a short 3 or 4 days, he went from coma to conscious, still to motion, silent to articulate, senseless to expression, ICU to general ward. He even got his skin graft done. So encouraged to see His work moving through this precious life. It is just the beginning and we anticipate for more... MORE...

that was just the saturday.. don't think i will bore you out with my Sunday activities. But they are equally happening though.. just with different group of people.. Terence, Brennie, Matt, Sue, Mel, Mark, Elle and Kat. Hehe...
