Starting up again

The conversation tonight with my wife-to-be has given me motivation to start writing again. Most of this year has been living on the fly, with very little reflection and critical appraisal.

As exhilarating as it has been, such a lifestyle does take its toll, if not on me, then on the people closest to me.

So here's to airing my thoughts again, so that they don't rot in the dark. You can bet that I'm serious because I haven't just started a new blog, or redesigned it (common indication of hype).
